#145 %autorelease offset (or "start from" …)
Closed: Fixed 2 years ago by dkirwan. Opened 2 years ago by nphilipp.

Story Time

As a maintainer of a package whose release is higher than the number of commits since the last version bump(*),

I want a way to specify an offset number to the %autorelease macro,

so I can use it.

(*): Looking at you, kernel.

Acceptance criteria

  • An optional (short getopt) parameter is added to the %autorelease macro.
  • The documentation for the macro is updated.
  • The code computing the release number honors the parameter, i.e. adds the value to the number of commits since last version bump.
