The search box currently allows users to query against hub names and summary. As mentioned in the description for the related Outreachy project, the goal is to index most or all data that Hubs stores - both in the SQL db and the Dogpile cache.
We could index the config of each widget and have matching results take the user to the corresponding widget using its location hash.
I'm not sure the widget config is of any interest in general (and it may contain private data). However, the widget output is of interest, I think that's what we want to be able to search. It's definitely useful to be able to tell the user that the result comes from the xyz widget. Then you can indeed craft a link that will include the widget's location hash. IIRC, all widgets are generated with an id attribute in the HTML, I think it's widget-{{widget.idx}}.
