#47 Local, Regional, National, Continental Hubs
Opened 8 years ago by decause. Modified 6 years ago

As per the thread here: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/council-discuss/2015-October/013768.html

It has been proposed that we improve our local/regional involvement in local meetups, hackathons, and spaces.

To do so, we should start to accumulate regional information about places where we have or would like to have a presence.

These Hubs would be very similar to the "Teams" hubs. Members could join their local/regional/national/continental Hub, but we could possibly auto-join them based on their FAS location?

We could also grep Fedocal for location matches?

This Hub is more than just a widget, but this is a good place to begin the discussion.

Interviews involved folks in the Fedora community across all four regions (NA, LATAM, AMEA, and APAC), both ambassadors and not. Interviews were performed using google hangouts on air and recorded onto a private youtube event, with Bluejeans as the backup in case of failure. Research and analysis issue located at https://pagure.io/fedora-hubs/issue/279

Updated issue #279 with usability testing information. Internship finished; do not know if I will be able to work more on this, as it'll depend on what I get for a full-time job and how much free time I will have.
