#203 Create a "News" aggregator widget from variety of sources
Opened 7 years ago by jflory7. Modified 7 years ago

Background

In a previous CommOps meeting, some discussion was had about the difficulty to keep up with all of the different corners of Fedora and get a feel for what's happening in the Project. In many ways, the Community Blog helps keep up with this as well as some of the other work being done by CommOps, but we talked about the idea of a widget in Hubs that pulls information from a variety of sources to make it easier to consume "what's good" in Fedora.

Implementation

One way this could be implemented is querying a variety of different sources for information to display to the user. For example, the Community Blog has categories for every sub-project. It would be easy to check each category to get info on what's new with the QA team, Development news in one section, and seeing what events Fedora has been attending (for event reports).

There might be a few more ideas for where we could query for information, but if anything else comes up, I'll add it into this ticket.
