Closed 2 years ago by chrismurphy. Opened 3 years ago by chrismurphy.

Workstation WG requests this revert in Fedora for an upstream work around for a GNOME Terminal crash go in Fedora 34 release notes, so that it has better visibility. The bug contains the description, upstream bug, and the revert paper trails.

Draft:

Bug 1929282 - Making a large selection causes crash of all gnome-terminal instances
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1929282

When making very large selections in GNOME Terminal, it can crash resulting in the loss of all Terminal instances. Upstream's current workaround is to limit select-all to visible text. Fedora is reverting that workaround, so it's possible very large selections will result in a crash.
