  . Install Spotify using Snap:

This needs change needs to be verified - I was without icons in activities launcher needing to launch any snap from the terminal until after I added this symlink. Reverting the symlink does not seem to remove and I cannot otherwise verify. rel: https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/418614/280026

Thanks for the PR @willtech : both these changes require users to modify system files so i'm a bit loathe to suggest them. Isn't there a better way of getting snap to work on Fedora? Or maybe we should move "installing snap on fedora" to a document of its own that explains and warns users about such changes to system files?

Your suggestion to move installing snap on Fedora to a new separate document is a good idea. Gives some room to comment on some of the other things that are accomplished when snap is installed, such as the changes to Gnome Software.

My knowledge of snap is limited, however, initially, the document requires only limited information and can be linked to or referenced from any other document requiring snap.

Is there a policy on document skeletons?

I'm afraid I don't know enough about the organisation of docs to figure that out. @pbokoc would have to tell us :)

What do we need to do here? Write a fresh document? @pbokoc : what do you think?

What are we waiting for here @willtech ? Should we perhaps limit the doc to using flatpak for the time being (and work on the snap bits later?)
