@pbokoc I saw traffic elsewhere (IRC?) about ongoing work on this ticket. Do you know if this work is already in progress? Are there any updates on what work is left?

@jwf I'm not aware of any work being done on this. I think the traffic you saw was about the Java packaging HOWTO, the maintainers are pretty active in #fedora-docs, but it's unrelated to this: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/java-packaging-howto/

Oops, that is what I saw and got them confused. Since they are SMEs for Java on Fedora, I wonder if any of them might be interested to review both pages for accuracy to help us consolidate them?

Yeah, good idea. I'll talk to them when I'm sure I have time to work on it.

We've made a lot of progress in quick-docs, and this issue is quite old, so:

1. All resources present in the link JDK_on_FEDORA are well explained/contents in the quick-docs.
2. So, that wiki page will be marked as outdated as references here: wiki_redirects.

Another point, Why we would like to merge the present page -> java packing in quick-docs, I think this is not the purpose of it.

I have no news on this, sorry. I have no idea of the state of Java (or Java packaging) in Fedora. Please close it if you think the docs are in good enough shape.
