The flatpak doc for installing spotify is missing the flathub install step. Otherwise the spotify install will fail with the following error.
error: No remote refs found similar to ‘flathub’
After step one we need an extra step
$ flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
