Modules is an incredibly overloaded term. Especially now that we have dnf modularity, we should avoid the term where we can.

I think it would be better to not rename the anchor. Even if it contains the term to be phased out, there may be external links, we do not want to break those.
If you want to also have the new terminology in an anchor, there is a way to have more than one anchor.
Other than that, this change looks good. I would have spelled dist-git with a hyphen, but since there already more than one spelling in use, including in upstream's own repository, I guess it does not matter much which variant is used in these pages.

Thanks for the feedback. I adjusted that anchor to have check_out_the_distgit_repository as the primary anchor and the previous check_out_the_module as a secondary anchor.
check_out_the_distgit_repository
check_out_the_module

Merged, thank you for your contribution. Package Maintainer Docs has a policy to grant commit access to everyone with sa merged pull request, so I added commit access for you. You can now apply trivial changes by yourselves. Pull requests are still accepted, and preferred for anything that is not trivial.
Thanks!
