I have extensive technical writing experience, going back more than a decade with Linux-related writing. Me: https://www.amazon.com/Matthew-Helmke/e/B003W60CN4/
I am currently employed by Red Hat as the technical writer for RH-SSO, which is a middleware product.
I am specifically interested in expanding my knowledge of Fedora, which I use on my RH laptop and one personal machine. This is new since 2017. Previously I was employed by Canonical and I have over a decade of Ubuntu/Debian experience. I would love to really grok the differences and move all my stuff over as I still have several machines and a server running Ubuntu.
I would be traveling from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Hi! Looks like we will be doing this in Seville, Spain. (Feb 26 - 2 March 2018, with travel days during weekends before/after.) Does that still work for you? Also, are you able / willing to share a room to help us save on costs?
Sadly, the dates do not work for me. :-(
If they had, the answer would be yes to sharing a room to help with costs.
Please keep me in mind for the future!
Oh, that's too bad. Yes, definitely in the future. And of course, you don't need to be at this meetup to get involved with the Docs group. We're hoping to kick things off here, and then really really keep the ball rolling.
(And I'm excited to have someone from middleware involved — we don't do as much cross communication as we really should.)
Cool. Please keep me in the loop. I'm sure I'll find time here and there to help out.
