#77 Switch to Antora
Closed 5 years ago Opened 5 years ago by asamalik.

Antora is a new docs project by the folks behind AsciiDoctor (@mojavelinux/Dan Allen and friends).

Why Antora:

  • It has a community, activity, and buzz
  • It is designed to support multi-repository documentation sets and reorder them into a navigation that is not related to the repository organization
  • It has a theory, although unimplemented, for Translations

Learn more about Antora — "The multi-repository documentation site generator for tech writers who writing in AsciiDoc."

See the prototype of Fedora Docs in staging.

Work is tracked in an Antora for Docs project in Taiga.

Both repositories include instructions for building and preview — all in containers!

@asamalik Woot! :tada:

A trivial thing I just noticed, but this link:

https://docs.stg.fedoraproject.org/en_US/docs/

…redirects to here:

https://docs-old.fedoraproject.org/en-US/index.html

@jflory7 Thanks for the noticing! I know about this, we'll get that fixed: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/7130

Right now I'm cheating and using /en_GB as it's not redirected anywhere. 😱:D

Okay, awesome, so long as you are already aware. :-)

All PRs have merged.

Woot!

I've just rebuilt the whole thing and pushed it to staging.

Looks like we're done! Thanks all, especially @bex for all the work!
