The calendar is currently empty and needs to be filled in with events.

The [https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/ GSoC calendar] and [https://wiki.gnome.org/Outreachy/2016/MayAugust Outreachy timeline] have all the dates and milestones for both programs. These would be good places to start filling into the calendar. For events with a long range, e.g. "summer begins", there can just be individual start and end events for the date range.
This is a great task for a new member to take on.

skamath and Dimuthu agreed to tag team this ticket in the last meeting. skamath is going to add all of the dates for GSoC 2016 and Dimuthu is going to add all the dates for Outreachy to the calendar. Once both are completed, this ticket can be closed.
