Outreachy 2016 is nearly upon us! '''February 5th''' is when we need to have our potential projects for the upcoming Spring 2016 cycles solidified and finished. February 9th is the deadline for organizations to submit proposals to be listed on the website.
The task is to '''finish collaborating and adding any details to the 2016 projects''' before the final pitch to the Council, and hopefully later on to Outreachy.

This ticket is currently blocked as of now until Outreachy 2016 slots are confirmed (or not). decause is planning to bring this discussion item up at the next Council meeting. However, we are working on a very, very tight time window. The deadline for organizations to submit slots is Feb. 9th, 2016.
Until then, there's not much else to say about this ticket. We will be able to close this ticket indefinitely by our next meeting, 2016-02-09.

== Confirmed == For the next upcoming Outreachy cycle, one slot was granted to Fedora for the Kernel Team for working on the Fedora Linux kernel.
== Next Step == CommOps is planning to rebound for Google Summer of Code! We are planning to submit for a new slot over the summer. The due date for a proposal is Feb. 19th. While this ticket is being closed, a new ticket for GSoC will be filed momentarily. :)
