Summary

Write a short article on the Community Blog about recent praise for the Fedora Games Lab as #1 in "5 Best Linux Distros for Gaming"

Background

@mattdm recently shared this thread on the Fedora Games SIG mailing list about a write-up praising the Fedora Games Lab:

The Fedora Project is a community of people working together
to build a free and open source Linux software platform and
to collaborate on and share user-focused solutions built on that
platform. The Fedora Games spin offers a perfect showcase of
the best Linux games available in Fedora. This distro includes
several genres, from first-person shooters to real-time and turn-
based strategy games to puzzles. Not all the games available in
Fedora are included on this spin, but trying out this spin will
give you a fair impression of distro’s ability to run great games.

Sharing this on the Community Blog would be good visibility for the Games SIG and help other Fedora contributors know about the cool things the Games SIG is doing to produce the Lab.

Details

There are a few steps needed to put together this article:

  1. Write a short summary paragraph about the Fedora Games Lab, what it is, and what is featured in it (see labs.fedoraproject.org)
  2. Write a short paragraph about the review and praise for the Lab and encourage people to read the article!
  3. Reach out to Fedora Games SIG and ask for ways for how people can get involved (this would be great for anyone interested to find ways to get involved and help if they like the Games Lab!)

Outcome

More people know about the Fedora Games Lab and might attract some new contributors to help out with the Games SIG

I think this one is past its prime since the article was published for some time. I am going to close this as incomplete.
