#77 No license information
Opened 4 years ago by adamwill. Modified 4 years ago

AFAICS the strings 'licence' and 'license' do not appear anywhere in the project. One of them probably should!

Any suggestion what would be the most appropriate license here?

Good question, I'm honestly not that sure. @ralph any thoughts?

ping...

@spot any thoughts on what would be a good license for this? it's basically a bundle of message specifications with only very trivial code contents.

note, I have a spec file ready to go to package this, which would allow us to package https://pagure.io/fedora-qa/python-ci_messages/ for all the wins, but it won't be accepted without a clear license.

This isn't really code (except for the two python files in scripts, which also need a license).

I would suggest CC-BY.

For the python scripts, perhaps MIT? They really are extremely small and keeping with a simpler permissive license makes sense there, since it is unlikely they will see significant derivative use. Any FOSS license would work though.

Thanks spot! I'll send a PR next week.
