There is a small cohort of people who did a lot of behind-the-scenes work to fight nasty spam attacks that plagued our Matrix communication platform in 2025 (see Fedora Discussion). People spent several hours working around the clock to roll out new infrastructure changes, deploy moderation bots, change Matrix room configurations, and all kinds of tedious but essential work in fighting back against the spam.
There is a specific pool of individuals that me and @jspaleta could name who would receive this badge. We would hand out the badge manually to those folks.
Because it was a bit of a crisis at the time, especially when we had a lot of people traveling across borders to attend the Fedora conference. The severity of the content was high, and the folks who stepped up to the plate to help were essential in combating this problem ahead of Flock 2025.

No one-size-fits-all here. There were efforts large and small. But the work feels a lot like slaying awful, ugly, evil dragons who wanted to do nothing but attack our dear, lovely community.
There is so much potential to make a fun, unique design here. I had the idea of a band of pandas or badgers wearing armor, wielding swords against a big, mean, fire-breathing dragon. I don't want to show any blood or gore in the artwork, but the general theme of "good vs. evil" is kind of what I am going for.
My concept is admittedly complex, and hard to fit into a badge design. So, I am open to creative ideas and artistic directions from the designer. Again, the main concept to keep in mind is "good vs. evil", and that we want to recognize a limited group of people who did a lot of behind-the-scenes work in keeping our community safe and secure at a time of need.
Attached is the initial concept for the new badge. I would appreciate any feedback you may have.

Here's my new draft, I took out the number and used the extra room to make it a little more of an interesting battle with a fire :)
Good catch on the number "25".
