The Wordsmith series of badges (Wordsmith I to V) need to be updated. There are existing open issues for this, #599 and #565, but they've been abandoned for the better part of a decade now, so I'm hoping a new issue will get more visibility.

The updates I'm asking for are:

  1. Point them at the correct repositories (I'll add a list of those at the end of the issue - it's big)
  2. Adjust the number of commits required for each badge as follows:
  3. Wordsmith I: 1 commit
  4. Wordsmith II: 10 commits
  5. Wordsmith III: 50 commits
  6. Wordsmith IV: 250 commits
  7. Wordsmith V: 500 commits
    This will also require adjusting descriptions of each badge, since the numbers are also mentioned in those.

Badge art will also need to be updated because it shows the old numbers required to reach each level.

Also, a question: Do badges get awarded only for new commits after an update, or is there a way to check the commit log of each repo and award them for older contributions as well?

The list of repos that should be counted is here - it's all current docs repos except for Quick Docs and Release Notes (those have their separate badges).
