Badge description (like "You added a co-maintainer to a package. BFF!"): - You attended the SFVLUG Fedora Release 42 Event
Help the badges team understand what this idea is all about. If this badge is awarded for certain kinds of activities:
1) What are those activities? -The badge will be awarded to attendees of the SFVLUG Fedora Release 42 Event. Please see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SFVLUG_Release_42_Event
2) Who is doing them (are they packagers? translators? newcomers? veterans? users? sponsors?) - Attendees to the event (Generally, Fedora Users)
3) Why are they doing them (is this a means to a different end?) - Anyone at our event can scan the QR code linked to the badge awarding website
4) When do they do them (every day? once a year?) - Once per event, for the time period: Apr 26th [proposed]-May 10th, 2025, dates subject to change. This allows attendees a little grace period to obtain the badge 1 week after the event's completion.
5) How do they do them (by talking in IRC? by running commands in the console? by using a web interface?) - By visiting our event. It also raises awareness to newcomers of the popularity of fedora-badges
Lastly, do you have any ideas for artwork concepts? -Something similar to this, but revamped uniquely for Release 42: https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/lets-have-a-watch-party-fedora-41
The 41 would, of course be replaced with a 42.
Tackling this one

That looks amazing @rolandixor ... No edits appear needed. Thank you!
Please let us know what the badge claim info links.
Thanks again!
I believe @jflory7 would know more about the badge claim info links
Sorry. It looks like this dropped off the radar. I also think the provided badge art is not what we'd use for local release events. However, I'd be happy to award the F42 Release Party badge manually to folks that attended the linked event.
@lajuggler, do you happen to have a list of people who attended the event?
Metadata Update from @gui1ty: - Custom field artwork adjusted to None - Custom field concept_review_passed adjusted to None

For local events, can you link to one of the badges that's normally used? I can provide an update if I know which one to update.
I don't think we have a template for that. At least I'm not ware of any. I believe this would need to be something made from scratch or a localized version of the Release Party badge.
Let's wait for Perry to get back here before we decide on what steps to take, if any.
Hello @gui1ty : As a result of some unforeseen events this month, we couldn't hold it in May. We're hoping possibly in June/July if eligible to do so.
Therefore, we don't have a list (yet) of the people who have attended the event locally.
We're perfectly fine with the badge proposed here: https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/lets-have-a-party-fedora-42 . Please let us know what the claim links are or where to access that.
Flagging @jflory7 for awareness.
@lajuggler, let me know once the event has been confirmed and what the dates will be. I can then create a badge-granting link (including QR-code) for the Fedora 42 Release Party badge for you.
