Badge description (like "You added a co-maintainer to a package. BFF!"): Badges are a fantastic way to motivate contributors and to recognize activity. We'd like to request a set of badges for the upcoming SCaLE18x conference. Attendee
Help the badges team understand what this idea is all about. If this badge is awarded for certain kinds of activities:
1) What are those activities? The badges would be awarded once per attendee of SCaLE 18x.
2) Who is doing them (are they packagers? translators? newcomers? veterans? users? sponsors?) - Each attendee is a SCaLE 16x attendee who has visited the Fedora booth.
3) Why are they doing them (is this a means to a different end?) To encourage guests to visit our Fedora booth, say hello, and pick up an e-badge.
4) When do they do them (every day? once a year?) One badge per conference.
5) How do they do them (by talking in IRC? by running commands in the console? by using a web interface?) By visiting the booth and obtaining the QR code or website associated with the QR.
Lastly, do you have any ideas for artwork concepts? Something similar to the final design for: https://pagure.io/fedora-badges/issue/596
but updated for 18x.
The verbiage should be updated for this year's conference, for example: SCaLE 18x 2020.
Color variations, if permissible and within design guidelines, are acceptable.
If possible, would like to request design and full badge to be complete and ready to go for QR scanning by 22 Feb 2020, in anticipation of the SCaLE18x event.
Info about the event is here for background: https://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale/18x
Thank you!
Any news on this request, which has been pending 21 days?
Tagging @riecatnor for possible leads/advice.
22 Feb is fast approaching.
Thank you any and all for your assistance!

Hello @riecatnor, @duffy et. al.!
What's the status of the URI (web link) that people need to go to for badge registration? The link should be active between 5 March and 12 March for claiming.
We would like to request this as soon as possible as we need to generate claim signage and our event is imminent. Full workflow request was due 22 February.
@lajuggler i can help w artwork approvals but not this. i would advise you to look to see whos committing the badge rules in the repo to figure out who can help.
@duffy Thanks for the follow-up! Not sure whom that would be nor where to look for that info, so hopeful that the stakeholders on this ticket might have any leads....
@lajuggler I pinged the badges chat, that usually gets some attention. Should have an update ASAP :)
Thanks @riecatnor !! Looking forward to hearing from them soon. :)

Hey @lajuggler! The badge is now pushed and live:
https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/scale-18x-attendee
I gave your FAS account permissions to award the badge and create a QR code. When you log into the Badges app and open the page for the badge, you should see the options.
Thanks for being patient. Closing as pushed. :clapper:
