#584 Unchained
Closed: pushed 6 years ago Opened 6 years ago by churchyard.

Badge description (like "You added a co-maintainer to a package. BFF!"):
- You helped us remove legacy Python 2 subpackages from the Django ecosystem. The Django packages are free!

Help the badges team understand what this idea is all about. If this badge is
awarded for certain kinds of activities:

1) What are those activities?
- Removing pyhton2 subpackages from django related packages as per https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Django20
- That means either a direct dist-git commit or PR/patch.

2) Who is doing them (are they packagers? translators? newcomers? veterans?
users? sponsors?)
- packagers

3) Why are they doing them (is this a means to a different end?)
- Django no longer works with Legacy Python.

4) When do they do them (every day? once a year?)
- One time action during the F28 release cycle.

5) How do they do them (by talking in IRC? by running commands in the console?
by using a web interface?)
- By doing a dist-git commit directly or trough PR/patch.

Manually awarded by looking at https://etherpad.gnome.org/p/django-prs

Lastly, do you have any ideas for artwork concepts?
- https://www.bet.com/topics/d/django-unchained/_jcr_content/image.custom0x0.dimg/__1369349267451__1355512945737/121412-video-django-unchained-jamie-foxx-2.jpg with a badger

Thanks

Totally! This is awesome. Thank you.

Nitpick: The badger's head outline is much stronger than the hat+scarf outline and it feels unbalanced to me.

Technical nitpick: I cannot see the badger in the SVG file in my webbrowser, but I see it in inkscape, so it's probably alright.

Of course =)

I tried same thickness and it looks odd.. I'll discuss it with Marie at the badges meeting, see what we can do.

Me neither, but it's totally fine - my guess is it can't render the clip mask correctly.

@churchyard we discussed it with Marie and agreed on the last version, setting to approved. You can push it now.

Assuming @sayanchowdhury is the right person. Let me know if I can help somehow.

Should be manually awardable by @churchyard, @mrunge and @pviktori.

@mleonova The svg does not have the image badger? or is it not displaying in Pagure?

My mistake.

Can I do anything to make this happen? If you teach me how to push badges, that works as well :)

Thank you. I've noticed a small glitch.

The badge is listed in "Uncategorized Badges", it should however be in "Development Badges".

Oh I added them to misc badges. Maybe it did not get tagged. I will add the appropriate tag to it.

Hey, I noticed this badge is tagged incorrectly. It is tagged both as a development and miscellaneous badge. It should only be a development badge so it appears in the correct category.

Re-opening ticket.

@jflory7 if you have access to the edit-badge script, then you can perform the operations using that scripts.

This was fixed, closing ticket again.

@sayanchowdhury I have access to the edit-badge script, but deleting tags was not something I could do with the script. Unless it was updated recently?
