There should be a badge awarded to a user who reaches the top position on the leaderboard.
I'm picturing a proud, victorious badger with a crown and scepter. I really want him to be standing on a pile of other badgers, but that part may have to be excluded because of reasons.

Description: You reached #1 on the Badges Leaderboard! You're on top of the world!
AFAIK this isn't possible without enhancing fedbadges. The fedbadges.badge.award message only reports that a given user got a given badge. It would need to add a field for a change in the user's leaderboard position, I guess.
how about "Reached #1 on the Badges Leaderboard! Champion of the world!"
?
trying to avoid the "You have..." type badge descriptions.
A description like this would work for :
You have Reached #1 on the Badges Leaderboard! Champion of the world! or Joe Bloggs has reached #1 on the Badges Leaderboard! Champion of the world!
"trying to avoid the "You have..." type badge descriptions." <--- that's the style I've been using for all my badges so far. this kind of thing is why we need to set up a house style for badge names and descriptions :)
oh, and the specific phrasing "You're on top of the world!" was meant to be a subtle James Cameron reference, but it's not too important. just wanted to explain it.
Set triaged to 'yes' for all tickets, as I've hit them all already.
just put types back in, we'll try and handle bugs here too, no new trac.
https://github.com/fedora-infra/fedbadges/issues/19 is closed -- this is now possible.
