After you traverse back or forth a few weeks or months in the calendar, it's very handy to be able to return to 'today'. Please add 'today' button near the week forward/backward buttons similarly to other calendars. Thanks.

Sure. But that assumes you know what today's date is. Or, as in my case, you need to look elsewhere. Which is a bit inconvenient :-)

The today/home button icon is quickly flashing big and small when changing weeks. Definitely just a cosmetic issue, but it catches the eyes a bit.
