#60 Unable to show meeting details when logged in
Closed: Fixed None Opened 10 years ago by lbrabec.

When not logged in, I'm able to show meeting detail.
After logging in, I'm able to show details of my meetings, but not meetings of anyone else (or anyone else to show my meetings) although I/we are in admin group. Result is that we (Fedora QA) are unable to edit each others meetings in our calendar despite that we are all in qa-admin group (which is our manager group).

ok so I fixed this in prod, and pull-request is ready at: https://github.com/fedora-infra/fedocal/pull/25

Pingou, I can now click on other people meetings and see the details box pop up, but I still can't edit it/delete it, even though I'm in qa-admin group (the administrator group for QA calendar).

The qa-admin group was manager not admin of the calendar, this is now fixed :)

Oh, great, it works now. Thanks.

I have to admit I don't understand too much the difference between administrators and managers. The documentation is not very clear either: http://fedocal.readthedocs.org/en/latest/usage.html#calendar-administrators

Does it mean that administrators can add/edit/delete anything and managers can only add and edit their own events?

Can I see somehow which group is set as administrators and managers for a particular calendar?

Manager are used to restrict writing to a calendar, they will indeed only be able to edit or delete their own meeting, but people outside this group will not be allowed to add new meetings.

Can I see somehow which group is set as administrators and managers for a particular calendar?
This is a fair point, might be duable by the API, I don't think the info is yet available on the UI. Could you open maybe a ticket against release 0.3.0 that we fix this ? :)

I created ticket #66.

Could you improve the docs a bit to make the distinction between admins and managers clearer? (Also, both headlines are called "administrators", the second one should say "managers").

Thanks!
