#43 Flock 2015 Proposal Election
Closed: Fixed None Opened 8 years ago by lmacken.

We need to create a new election for the Flock 2015 proposals.

I need some more info:

  • Alias: flock-2015
  • Summary: Flock 2015
  • Description: ?
  • Type: ? among:
    Range Voting
Simple Voting (choose one candidate in the list)
Simplified Range Voting (max is set below)
Select Voting (checkboxes for each candidate, maximum number of votes set below)
    +1/0/-1 voting

  • Maximum Range/Votes

  • URL
  • Start date at 00:00:00 UTC
  • End date at 23:59:59 UTC
  • Number elected
  • Legal voters groups (if any) FAS groups allowed to vote on this election (CLA-done is always required)
  • Admin groups (if any)

Took the description from last year and adjusted it

I went with modified range voting (with a range from 0 to 5)

I used the url: https://register.flocktofedora.org/

No legal voters group nor admin groups

End date seems to be 2015-05-18

And I imported 132 candidates

So when is this supposed to start?

  • Description: Flock is a conference where Fedora contributors can come together, discuss new ideas, work to make those ideas a reality, and continue to promote the core values of the Fedora community: Freedom, Friends, Features, and First. The third Flock conference will be held August 12th through the 15th in Rochester, New York. These talks and workshops have been submitted by the Fedora community and we want the Fedora community to tell us what you want to see! Even if you cannot attend Flock in person, these sessions will be streamed and recorded, so your vote is appreciated!
  • URL: https://register.flocktofedora.org/proposals
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: May 18th

  • Legal voters group: I think CLA-done is fine?

  • Admin groups: None that I can think of at the moment.
  • Number elected: I am not sure

  • Voting type: I'm not quite sure. I think we've always done the Range Voting "Simple Voting" in the past, right? That leads to 100s of dropdowns with 100s of options for each, so I'm wondering if the Simplified Range Voting would be a better fit for this sort of thing?

We did "Range voting" until now, "Simple voting" means radio box.

I think simplified range voting my be nice, we can set the size of the range, that's the approach I took for now with a range from 0 to 5 for each talk.

I can turn on the election once we've agreed on the type :)
