Oh, could well be the bug discussed on devel@ lately. Maybe we could try untagging back to dbus-1.12.10-1.fc29 and fire another compose?
The Atomic Host compose appears to be a victim of that dbus problem, too.
The suggested workaround of shipping the dbus-broker package via USB is a non-starter for cloud images, so I'm all for untagging the crappy version to get us moving again.

I'm only assuming it's caused by the new dbus, note. But it seems a reasonable suspicion.
I downloaded the x86_64 Everything boot.iso from the failed compose and tried booting it in a VM, it fails the same way. You can get to a console from the failure by hitting alt-tab; I'll poke around and see if I can find any more info.
I'm reporting my findings to the bug, it does look a lot like there's just no system dbus server running at all.
We re-ran with the dbus build untagged and the compose completed, so this was definitely caused by that dbus build.
