#5 wiki/dotnet
Closed: Fixed None Opened 8 years ago by rhea.

As discussed during the meeting, we will split the wiki page into two, where wiki/dotnet should contain info about dotnet in general, running it on Fedora, current limitations, known issues and workarounds.

Please submit your ideas and resources that we can use for wiki/dotnet here, and I will then fix the pages...

working in advance:
I created a new wiki page wiki/SIGs/DotNet
I split the Join Section on a new page wiki/SIGs/DotNet/Join
I created the proper redirects to avoid case differences (DotNet, dotnet, join, Join)

Feel free of editing everything if you wish :D

About wiki/dotnet , I think the first is add the "microsoft way" instalation and some workarounds for fedora 24 while we don't have packages ready.

This was for ideas not for action, there is nothing to split yet and the whole of the original wiki/dotnet is basically what would become sigs/dotnet... (After we have something for the actual dotnet wiki that is... no point maintaining two mirrored wiki pages.)

I know, but i don't touch the original wiki/dotnet only create the new pages as just we agreed in the last meeting.
Plus: We can start editing wiki/dotnet without lose our page for organization :D and again feel free of edit/change/remove any part of this wiki pages.

The problem is that now we have two pages to maintain instead of just one. (It will take quite some time to get stuff together for the dotnet page...) It should have been all one at once, not like this.

And the other problem is that now i have no idea what's where, what points to where... It's like someone else cleaning my place and now i won't be able to find a pen or something :D

So I'm asking don't change stuff but discuss it, suggest things. There can be only one person handling the paperwork, otherwise we will have chaos (where you wont find your pen)

Very clever and very good example, it is ok :D
In the future, i will ask if you want help for editing or change something.

I've just found this. Will take a look at the wiki pages, but I'm sure I can add something. Do you have an idea about what to write? A chance for me to learn editing a wiki proper

@vukovinski Nothing, don't force it! We do not have anything to add right now, we need to discuss packaging at the meeting, see where we are, and then we can think about wiki or other things. If you have ideas what to add, then throw them here, and we can discuss and improve on it in the next meeting =)

I've done some gardening of our pages, feel free to throw in feedback/ideas.

looks great,

Maybe Copy&Paste the Corp installation instructions can help new users.
(I can do it if you wish and @nmilosev agree :P)

:sunglasses:

Maybe Copy&Paste the Corp installation instructions can help new users.

There is a link to copr where that info is, and for the sake of easier maintainability we should avoid pasting the same info too much... Would mean changing it in more places if we change something (e.g. already discussed change from nmilosev/dotnet-clean to nmilosev/dotnet-sig - maybe when we settle this we can think about adding the instructions)

We can talk tomorrow about what would be the proper name, but it's very easy to make a new repo. :)

Good job on the wiki Rhea!
