#16 1.1.1 build with 1.0 "non-preview" SDK/tooling
Closed: Fixed Opened by tetious.

Could the release for F25 please be updated to the version with the "final" 1.0/RTM SDK so we have access to dotnet migrate and the "new" (old? new-old?) csproj-based project system?

Many IDEs (Rider, etc) are dropping support for project.json soon, and already deprecate or degrade when running under the old json (formerly new? retired after a few happy moments in the sun?) project format.

Thanks for your consideration!

I would love to. Sadly, no one here knows how to build the "final" 1.x SDK from the source code. If you know how do to that, we would love to have your help!

We also don't have permission to distribute the official builds of "final" 1.0 SDK :(

Our plan is to push a new package only with 2.0 framework in a few months, we don't have the time to keep figuring out how to build that black box made of magic powder every week. The 2.0 version should have finally stable build process (or maybe it was a dream?)

Anything before 2.0 is from my point of view considered beta version (just like windows, vista->7, 8->10, etc etc... Microsoft seems to consider every 1.x version of every software as public beta.. or something.)

@rhea Ugh, yes I certainly learned this the hard way with .net core. I made the mistake of thinking that rc1 was... yanno... a release candidate and not pre-alpha where they'd toss out DNX, dnvm, etc. ;)

@omajid You mean licensing? So they release official builds for six month ago EOLed F23, don't support the current release AND lock binaries that might work behind a license wall? ARGH.

I so so so regret using .net core for an OSS project. :( Sorry to randomly rant.

Anyway, I'll see if I can help out after I get past a release I'm working on. I dunno how much help I will be, but I'll give it a go.

@tetious don't worry it will be good, it just had a rough start a little =)
