The changes for #893 are in.

They are working for the non-interactive configuration only. Changes need to be added to the configuration GUI code. I'm separating this out so that I can work on other stuff first.

[06/04/2014] - Moving to Milestone 10.2.2 due to schedule restrictions.
This is being resolved as 'wontfix' since we have decided to remove the GUI browser configuration panels interface. (per CS Meeting of 09/17/2014)
