The admin domain name is only used to construct the instance ID by concatenating it with the instance name:
pki_instance_id = ${pki_instance_name} [ . ${pki_admin_domain_name} ]
It's not really necessary to have the admin domain name since the instance name can contain anything including the admin domain name.
