#1607 [MAN] man pkispawn has inadequate description for shared vs non shared tomcat instance installation
Closed: Fixed None Opened 8 years ago by rpattath.

Document URL:

man pkispawn

Section Number and Name:

Installing a KRA, OCSP, TKS, or TPS in a shared instance

Installing a KRA, OCSP, TKS, or TPS in a separate instance

Describe the issue:

Nothing specified about the difference in the following params for shared and non-shared tomcat instances:

pki_instance_name, pki_http_port, pki_https_port, pki_ajp_port, pki_tomcat_server

Suggestions for improvement:

differentiate between a shared instance in which every subsystem within the
shared instance utilizes the same instance name and ports vs. a non-shared
instance in which instance names and ports must be unique if they reside on the
same machine as another PKI instance.
