Nest with Fedora logo needed for this years virtual version of our contributor conference.
We have a Flock to Fedora logo, doesn't seem appropriate for this year :)
We have used the logo on this badge for Flock in the past: https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/flock-2018-attendee Prior to that we used a more strict approach for Fudcon (Flock before it was Flock). https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Logo/UsageGuidelines#FUDCon
Create a simple logo design following Fedora guidelines. - Should include the word "nest". - Typeface used should be Comfortaa or Montserrat. - Should not include the Fedora logo. - Should be close to simplicity of Flock logo.

Hey! I just came up with a few idea designs or different ways to go about this, let me know if you want to see any variations of them or anything! - Madeline
hi @madelinepeck omg ,yes! these are awesome. I like the bottom left ("nest" with nest around it in that composition) and the bottom right ("nest" with bird and nest). Since we are on a bit of a time crunch, can you create refined versions of just those two and we can go from there?
Thank you!
Hey Marie I can clean up those two logos in inkscape today and try to send them over by the end of the day!

I wasn't sure whether or not to include the objects filled in with color, but I totally can!
Hi @madelinepeck thanks for the update! I love the concept of these, though I think they are some ways away from Fedora's aesthetic. Based on that and the short time frame we are working with, I merged Fedora's style with your concept. It still needs some refinement, but I am happy with the direction so far. What do you think?

Feedback from others welcome, please! @duffy @mleonova @smeragoel
I love the first one! The one with the bird is gorgeous but I prefer the minimalistic style of the top one. Side note- the top one does remind me of the skype logo (the old one)
WOW! awesome Job @madelinepeck @riecatnor
It is very cute, great job! Does, however, slightly remind me of Nestle. Mostly because it's a blue bird in a nest ;) Would you be open to try other colors?
@riecatnor just a few type tweaks here - the dissonance between the narrower border line around the logotype on the bird and the thicker line of the artwork was bugging me, I removed the border line in the logotype on the bird, and added it back (with a bit softer of a color) and a bit thicker to match the artwork line thickness. <img alt="nest.png" src="/design/issue/raw/files/07fe37ce4c839932127d16e55c824a1607ddcbbb391ffc9782b61616e2b7a879-nest.png" /><img alt="nest.svg" src="/design/issue/raw/files/4a0a27c14bb2ef640e416b1c30f32cc9d3f99af2ad431bcdc89438abce63f226-nest.svg" />
I'm not sure what to do about the Nestlé issue, I didn't realize it was blue but I see it in blue as soon as I google for it (I am used to seeing that logo in brown and yellow usually but that's bc of tollhouse chocolate chips colors lol) I'll think on it
@riecatnor Ahh I kept looking at my line drawings and thinking "How to get this more Fedora looking..." and the shading you came up with the bird looks very fedora looking and amazing! The simple word bubble also makes me think of a good sticker idea.
@duffy Aw man yeah I've never thought of the nestle logo in blue but googling it, it does seem very familiar. I only did blue originally because the fedora and flock logos were blue :/
I kind of Fedora-ized the other logo variant, in case it helps address the Nestlé issue?

Oh my gosh I really like the grey added! Definitely doesn't look like nestle anymore but leans on the fedora color palette :D
Looks great, everyone!
