Hi @jasoncallaway I'm really interested in working on this! I was hoping that you could answer a few questions for me so that I can make sure I'm getting started in the right direction:
Would you like a full-color version as well as a one-color version of the logo created? (If you intend on embroidering/ screen-printing the logo on anything, having a one-color version available would give you a more cost-efficient option... just something to think about) Are there any symbols or imagery that is associate with Fedora Red Team? This would help me to put together a logo that visually represents the team well
Hey @maryshak1996 we have a standard template for Fedora team logos, I'll email it to you, it should be helpful for this.
Ahh gotcha, thanks @duffy So is this all that has to happen? I'm attaching a PNG, an SVG with the text still as a text format, and an SVG with the text turned into paths <img alt="fedora-red.svg" src="/design/issue/raw/files/968de055061ba04c7551b25911c618bdcacb59646cc71377db61ccc200000ee7-fedora-red.svg" /><img alt="fedora-red-vector-text.png" src="/design/issue/raw/files/1fb28b0c6d329f68fc51e7889eed075a794cc1964c9ac0d0508f28bcd37438ed-fedora-red-vector-text.png" /><img alt="fedora-red-vector-text.svg" src="/design/issue/raw/files/88c503e0db6e430c299f70c032d12a5bd2df665f74544e36139876ce0979c94b-fedora-red-vector-text.svg" />
Hi, Mary. Thanks very much for taking on this project!
The term "Red Team" is important here, and can't be shortened to "Red" without losing its meaning. Refer to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_team
Would it break any rules if we just used the Fedora Project font for the whole thing?

Hi, Mary. Just wanted to check on the status of this. Thanks!
Here's the update with the word "team" SVG <img alt="fedora-red2.-vector.svg" src="/design/issue/raw/files/8c6471345fa1c1f333058ece035b8f7f03cd72274ca6053d110b29ec70f8abfa-fedora-red2.-vector.svg" /> PNG <img alt="fedora-red2.png" src="/design/issue/raw/files/ddf316e59f98f45e76f10d8d1e72e027446c4d50ec0685e1b918dcf75ffb74ee-fedora-red2.png" />
As for your question about the font, @jasoncallaway , there is a template for Fedora teams so I'm not sure how much (if any) wiggle room their is for font changes. @duffy is this correct?
hey @maryshak1996 that logo is right on, I think i'd just kern 'red' and 'team' a little more tightly.
@jasoncallaway the font @maryshak1996 used above is the offical font for these things. we don't actually use the 'fedora' font for anything besides the 'fedora' text because it's a proprietary font (in historical context a sensible decision altho sucks now)
@duffy yeah, just read the logo history. Totally understand now. Thanks!
Updated and "freshly-kerned" SVG <img alt="fedora-red3.svg" src="/design/issue/raw/files/9e60b4e6bb4a794bf8b677d6de9143af4ae70d934f2088977d6014284cda4713-fedora-red3.svg" /> PNG <img alt="fedora-red3.png" src="/design/issue/raw/files/e6eb56aca6abe048f3995355be23cb21e4ec8cad3b8cba8bccdc1ff3d074b529-fedora-red3.png" />
Looks great, thanks!
