So, this is what I came up with; personally I prefer B and D, let me know what you think!

So, this is what I came up with; personally I prefer B and D, let me know what you think! I like variant A.
I'd like to vote for A.
There are some reasons for which I'd choose another one, first of all I'm not sure about how the pattern will look when printed. There are some really subtle gradients and hue variations which are essential for it to look at best and that may be washed out on paper, since A is mainly made of that image there's a risk of ending up with a totally blue sheet with just the white font on it. And then I'm not sure it's permitted to add that white border to help the logo stand out on the background [maybe using the logotype could help, but...] Anyway, I can provide all the four sources in Inkscape SVG, but preparing different Scribus press-ready files will take me a while.
these are fantastic designs! sam08, i'm going to wait for you to upload the SVGs for other folks ot use and then close this ticket. I'd also like to publicize these designs to the wider Fedora community since I think a lot of folks will want to use them!

thanks, duffy!
i uploaded all the four variants, you can choose the one you prefer, just make sure to keep the png pattern in the same dir with the SVGs -- it's linked, not embedded. all the artwork is on a locked layer, the text and content is on another one and freely editable!
Awesome, great work again! Closing ticket.
Closed as FIXED since the aim of the ticket is achieved.
