• are you looking at having the single sided design, or the double sided design? -- if double sided, is there some info you want on the back?
• are we just going with one design, or do you need staff, attendee and speaker varients on the passes themselves, or will this info just be on the label you are putting on later?

We always put the emergency info, wifi, that sort of thing on the back, which I can easily take care of.

This is just one design. These will be nicer badges, but the tradeoff is that they won't be individualized, which is what the labels are for.

happy to do the backs too -- that way i can get them to the printers specifications with the right colours and all that.

also, jus to check I have the right size (2.875" x 4.625"), i did a quick physical mockup, and the badges are going to be significantly smaller than the ones in the previous years -- just wanted to make sure that i am creating for the right size.

okies, here is an initial design

went with a photo from rochester, not 100% sure about it though. any ideas on what we could use for content other than a photo of rochester?

The old ones were postcard sized just because that was what moo offered. I don't think we need enormous badges when these will do.

Working on gathering the back info.

I really like that photo--is it CC? Do we want the bird logo on there with "flock"?
Another photo option might be if there's a fun picture of the Strong Museum or Eastman House. Those are our two evening events.

Was struggling to find decent photos that will also fit with the weird portrait form factor, so i came up with another idea that is quite a bit different. It also uses a bit of artwork from the t-shirt design too.

The first quick mockup, which after sitting on it for a day oe so looked more like a hotel key than a pass for an event -- so the second design was a go at making more look like an event pass.

I'm a huge fan of design number two, but then again, I'm horribly biased toward the vector art of the Fredrick Douglas / Susan B. Anthony Memorial Bridge as a native.

That design work is rilly awesome, even if it isn't used for FLOCK Badges :)

As far as actionable Feedback, I'd say to try to center the "T" in the bottom row below the "O" "C" gap, and add a URL either for the event, or for Fedora to the bottom?

Someone else commented that he first thought it said "ROCK ESTHER," like a music convention for old ladies. Overall it just doesn't get me excited, but art is subjective like that. If that's what we're using, I guess that's what we're using.

When were you anticipating having a final file ready? I need to get these ordered basically tomorrow, as I'm flying all day Friday and then on PTO for a week with no internet.
