Hello. I am currently working on [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Scientific_Spin Fedora Scientific] which I have currently submitted to the spin wrangler for review. I am still awaiting the status of the review. However I was wondering if I could get some help from the design team to have a logo for this spin. Its focus is science & engineering so something on those lines will be very useful.

Kindly let me know any other information that you might need from me. Thanks!

Hello xconstaud, looks pretty nice. Was wondering if you could "throw in" some LaTex, Mathematical symbols? Or does it sound too much to fit in? Thanks!

That should be no problem amitksha! I actually got rid of the gears and repeated the beakers a few more times. So the Mathematical symbols and what not will fit in great. I'll get a draft to you in the coming hours.

Here's the most updated draft I have. I will add in symbols when I get back from work. Sorry for spelling your name wrong by the way!

Hello xconstaud: Sure. Thanks. I shall wait for your further developments after the latest draft. I am not very sure, if I would want to put "Sc" in the logo.. Just my opinion. Don;t worry about the spelling, all good.

Here is my third draft. I like the idea of taking the "Sc" off and adding symbols. What do you think about the position of the symbols and what not. I'm debating it myself.

Looks good! I like it now. I guess it will also go through a process of refinement over time. I shall email the SciTech list asking for interested community members to throw in their ideas. In the meantime, please post any "refinements" as you please. Any other opinion?

Here is a draft for the tag without the "Scientific Spin" added. I still need to figure out what font is used for the other tags.

Looks like the different spins have a different font in their banners/tags.

Hello xconstaud. Can we please finalize the banner? I am very happy with the banner. Could you please add "Scientific" the banner and also the slogan: "Open Source Scientific Computing" ?

Also, can you please suggest a logo as well?

Hey xconstaud! This is some really great work you've done! Regarding the fonts and formats, we do have a little how-to with a template for spins graphics here:

It looks like the artwork you developed should fit into the template just fine. Do you want to give it a go? Or I can apply the template for you. Whichever you'd prefer.

Also, do you have any vector / svg source for your graphics?

we still miss the [http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_create_graphics_for_a_new_spin#The_mini_graphic mini graphic] pics on the websites side, used in the index page. (Not yet used, but this is an other issue, in our part).

Also, it would be great if "Scientific" could be added to the banner, since all spins do that. Thanks Guys!
