Hi Ben,
We'd discussed some early FUDcon Blacksburg comps a week or two ago in IRC. This is what we came up with the address the feather / Native American headdress concern you had; it's a more abstract motif that mimics the lines in the Fedora logo and has a nice geometric kind of look (since it's a technical event, geometrical is nice nod to that IMHO):

With your approval we can complete other various tasks such as T-shirt and poster design, so we really appreciate your feedback/concerns and your letting us know if we can go forward with this design or not.
Thanks, ~m

Can you take this logo to the meeting and see if it's approved and let me know?
I can't make a Wednesday meeting, I'm terribly sorry.

That's fine; thanks for letting me know. You have two options then:
We can go with the standard FUDcon logo without any recommendations (I strongly recommend this option as I can turn that around to you very quickly)
I can try to find someone else to design a logo for you. (This may take some time especially because of the point we're at in the F16 release schedule right now.)
Per last weeks meeting (10/18/2011), it was decided that the design for FUDCon blacksburg would be the standard fudcon logo with the words 'fudcon blacksburg'[1] on the front.
On the back of the shirt, we would like to create a similar shirt to fudcon boston 2009. I've created a png[2] and an svg[3] of the logos.

I don't think there is anything needed here beyond a simple verification of the fonts, colors and layout on a t-shirt. How quickly can that be done?
Thanks,
Clint
