#143 T-shirt for Fedora Summer Coding 2010
Closed: Fixed None Opened 13 years ago by quaid.

We'd like a Fedora Summer Coding 2010 t-shirt design. This is something being given to the students, mentors, and organizers of the program this year.

The design could be a straight-forward Fedora design. Other summer coding programs make a new design for each season. We can choose to depart from a standard Fedora T-shirt look, create something entirely new, or base it on a solid existing design.

One important piece of information is that we will be renaming the program by the end of the summer (August 2010.) This is because the program runs in seasons other than summer and involves contributions other than code.

So, not knowing what the new name will be, we can choose to make a timeless one-off design or something that is modular to fit the new name for next season.

== A few requirements ==

Sponsor logos in some location. JBoss Community is the other funding sponsor, and there may be one additional company that sponsored a few specific ideas. Transifex is a community sponsor, so their logo would be next in a list.

Expect that the shirts will be sized from S to XXL.

I can interface with a Fedora designer and the folks from the JBoss Community and Indifex, about getting logos in SVG format and other brand/logo requirements.

Quaid,

Would it be possible to get the logos that are required for the sponsors?

cheers,
ryanlerch

Adding Dimitris Glezos, who can get us the Transifex logo (and explicit permission here to use.)

Adding James Cobb, who can get us the JBoss Community logo.

Either of them might ask for more details.

Sure thing. Someone can freely contact me by email and I can send a high-res logo of Transifex.

am willing to work on this ticket but it will be gratefull if someone can send me all the logo's that are required in the designing of t-shirt.
regards,
kanza aman

Here is the JBoss Community logo:

The instructions from the designer are:

"It's in color but the printer can make it one color and we won't be offended."

I asked for an SVG file so we can manipulate it using free tools, and so the source is in a free format.

The new name for the program is "Fedora Students Contributing"

if you guys need the logo to be vectorized, drop me an email at [rukhairy@gmail.com] and i'll help out with the logo tracing task.

Here are all the print-ready files & source files from Christian. Thanks Christian!
