Not in love with "deliverables", despite it being the way this stuff is called in other places, and open to suggestions. Maybe "content" would play better?

Why do we need to group it at all?

We don't, but as the docs grow in size and scope grouping makes it easier to wrangle them IMO (both for readers and for writers), and it plays well with the theme we're using with the collapsible sections.
