It is possible to install some graphical packages (nautilus) and not have it run graphically. Track down what packages need to be isntalled, and have those installed on the base WSL image.
The original bug was someone installing just "nautilus", it failed with "Couldn't open libGLESv2.so.2" The missing package turned out to be "libglvnd-gles" libglvnd-gles doesn't pull too much into the image, so I will add it.
I am investigating a little more to make sure that is all that is needed incase someone installs something even smaller.
Investigation has been complete, and we think we've got thing correct. This has been pushed out in this quarters images.
