#586 Change kernel-automotive repository permissions and have the ability to push tags.
Closed: Fixed with Explanation 2 years ago by jfaracco. Opened 2 years ago by jfaracco.

HI everybody,

I'm not sure if this is allowed, but we are not authorized to push new tags to kernel-automotive. We are authorized to push changes into the proper branch, but not pushing tags.
I don't know if it is a policy that we need to accomplish or we can just request to have access.
To keep the same pattern of generate packages using RHEL scripts, we need to point to tags and not commit hashes unfortunately.

Can you provide the issue you're having ? I admit that SIGs probably don't use git tags to build on cbs.centos.org but if you need that, it would be worth verifying that pagure-dist-git supports it ?

@pingou : do you see anything that would prevent to push git tags on specific branches ?

Thanks @arrfab . Hold this issue for now. We are planning to rebase our workflow. I need to double check if we can go ahead with this issue or not.

I'm gonna close this because the scope has changed. If we need to include new features, I can open a new one.

Thanks folks.
