#416 Prepare infra for AWS AMI images import/validation for Stream 9
Closed: Fixed 3 years ago by arrfab. Opened 3 years ago by arrfab.

Initial task : https://issues.redhat.com/browse/CS-839 , cross-linked

We were asked to work on a small tool/wrapper that would need to :

  • upload a raw EC2 image to dedicated S3 bucket
  • create a snapshot and then a new AMI based on it
  • validate that an instance can be booted from that AMI
  • copy that AMI to all existing 20 regions for AWS and ensure that permissions would permit everybody to use it

For that we need :

  • dedicated IAM user, with limited policy attached to it
  • S3 bucket with correct permissions

Infra tasks are completed and a PR against Stream Releng tools git repository created (but already tested/validated) : https://gitlab.com/redhat/centos-stream/release-engineering/releng-tools/-/merge_requests/62
Closing as fixed for our part
