Tried building systemd and got:

Usual problem : stream has a new compose but they always delete previous pkgs, and new pkg is centos-stream-release-8.5-2.el8.noarch.rpm As cbs.centos.org is using external mirrors, it has to refresh metadata and because nobody knows when a new stream push is done, you have to wait for cbs to pick the refreshed metadata.

Can you retry your job and give feedback ? If that happens again (and we never had that issue with centos linux as we never deleted old pkgs between composes), I'd suggest you open a bug report for Stream, so on https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi?product=Red%20Hat%20Enterprise%20Linux%208&version=CentOS%20Stream

@carlwgeorge : do you think there is a way to announce each push on a message bus that cbs can consume (like mqtt that is used for pagure/git notifications, etc). Worst case is that I can fix at that "downstream" through periodic curl operation for COMPOSE_ID and rekick koji regen-repo for tags consuming 8-stream externalrepos in koji (just an idea)

Let me close this and while we can try to discuss with Stream Team for something automatic, I just pushed a glue script checking upstream repo and trigger regen-repo inside koji/cbs. We try to do a new Stream composes about once a week. I'm not aware of any plans to announce new composes on a message bus. We do want to start carrying multiple releases of packages and modules, but haven't sorted out exactly how yet.
