#221 add hyperscale main repo to mirrors
Closed: Fixed 3 years ago by arrfab. Opened 3 years ago by dcavalca.

After tagging a -release package,
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/8-stream/hyperscale/x86_64/packages-main/
showed up. Could you please add it to the mirrors network for propagation?

Hi @dcavalca

Let me close it directly as there is nothing to do, it's all automated :-)
As soon as you tagged to -release (which you did) you saw that pkgs were signed and pushed to mirror.centos.org pool.
The mirror crawler also automatically detects new repositories/repodata and as external mirrors are automatically fetching same content they are directly validated.

You can check that it works by querying mirrorlist directly :

curl 'http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=8-stream&arch=x8_64&repo=hyperscale-packages-main'

You can clearly see the logic to use for the repo name, and that's also why we insist on keeping the same tag structure, as it's then fully automated down the road, including for mirrorlist, etc

For your centos-release-hyperscale pkg, you can define your .repo pointing to these mirrors, and I'd advise you to have a look at existing other pkg, like for example https://git.centos.org/rpms/centos-release-openstack/branches

PS : don't forget that $releasever doesn't point to 8-stream but 8, so reason why on 8-stream, it's a different variable .. depending on your branch you can just stay release=8-stream
