#1576 More powerful aarch64 instance on duffy
Closed: Fixed a month ago by arrfab. Opened a month ago by pingou.

Good Morning,

I'd like to see if it would be possible to have aarch64 instances on duffy that are a little more powerful than what we have today.
Today we're using the https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/instance-types/c6g/ instances of the type c6g.2xlarge which comes with 8 cores and 16G of RAM.
I've no issue with the cores, but I could use more RAM.

If we could have a new pool with a type c6g.8xlarge or higher, that would be great!
(I can test if my workflow works with 32Gb of RAM if needed/preferred)

Thanks :]

thread with options discussed with other ci tenants : https://lists.centos.org/hyperkitty/list/ci-users@lists.centos.org/thread/EYKLA6SPEBGS4U6VEFSKYL7XFUR5MDRA/
Let's gather some ideas/opinions and then implement it this week

updated today to c6g-4xlarge (let's give it a try to keep usage low if possible).
Same pool name but ec2 instances are being provisioned with different instance type.

Closing for now but happy to revisit based on feedback eventually (but I think that 32Gb of ram and 16 vcpus would make it good for a test machine, like it's available for x86_64 arch)
