A little while ago, we got a FAS group centos-socialmedia to use as the owner of social media accounts, copying how fedora-socialmedia works.
centos-socialmedia
fedora-socialmedia
https://accounts.centos.org/group/centos-socialmedia/
I think there's not an email alias attached to it, unless I'm doing something wrong. I've tried test emails to be centos-socialmedia@centosproject.org and centos-socialmedia@fedoraproject.org. Neither worked. I'd like to use centos-socialmedia@centosproject.org as the email account for social media accounts.
Well, multiple things : that group wasn't created by infra, so you probably reached out to a Fedora admin to create that group, which has no effect on email aliases ... The @centosproject.org email aliases are automatically created for SIGs, based on sig- prefix , but nothing else is verified/checked
@centosproject.org
sig-
Two proposals (pick one) : * we create a sig-centos-socialmedia FAS group and that will automatically create corresponding email alias, as documented * we just create (through ansible list/variables/inventory) a new centos-socialmedia@centos.org email alias
centos-socialmedia@centos.org

@shaunm : what have you decided ?
@shaunm : I had a quick look at implementing change in our fasjson query script (that renders email aliases) and I added support to query groups other than SIGs groups. So it now works for centos-socialmedia@centosproject.org (fetched from accounts.centos.org group)
centos-socialmedia@centosproject.org
