Today (2013-06-11) there was an interesting discussion on #freeipa channel. One user described his network topology (see picture zones_and_NAT.png) and why he needs BIND views.
The problem is that between each 'network zone' (a color circle) and the 'main' zone 'DMZ' is 1:1 NAT. The IPA server in DMZ is configured with IP address 192.168.123.7 but the client1 (from zone 'pub') has to use IP address 10.10.10.xxx otherwise the connection will fail. client_a (from zone 'loc') has to use IP address 172.16.1.7.

This would be a major undertaking and does not align with FreeIPA DNS plans.
