Hi,
For the month of June I'm going to be teaching kids ages 12-17 about PC construction and OS installation. Also basic Linux commands. I'm looking for a curriculum that may speak to inner city kids of this age on a basic level. I'm compiling some materials myself using YouTube videos and online documentation. I was wondering if Fedora had any basic materials I could distribute to the youth? Even if no teaching materials, then maybe things to make them aware of Fedora as an operating system choice.
Sincerely,
Elliot
Elliot,
Thanks for reaching out. Can you provide us with some more info? Where the camp is at (City, State, Country) as well as where you would need materials shipped. We'll also need dates for that information too. I'm not sure if there's anything specifically designed for this particular use case, but we'll reach out to see if there is.

Hey Andrew,
I emailed Brian back or actually sent a reply to the email I got so I'm not sure it made it back to this thread but here is the email I sent:
Thank you so much for the quick response. Attached is a flyer for the camp. It's completely volunteer driven so I'm am basically giving of my time and whatever computer knowledge I can share. The camp lasts for the month of June, so June 5th - 30th. I plan to teach basic PC build, OS installation and Web concepts over that month. My goal is to give a couple hours each day Mon - Wed. I did the camp a few years ago and it was very rewarding for me and the kids and I learned a lot as well. It's mainly inner city kids with little to no knowledge of computer components, networking or open source software in general. I want to use Fedora as a foundation for their learning as I teach them Linux concepts (command line as opposed to just clicking with a mouse). Here are some relevant links below but keep in mind the camp itself doesn't have an official website.
