Hi,

I'd like to request funding from Fedora Project in order to attend to Latinoware 10 in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil. It's a very relevant event in Latin America with thousands of people from several countries, which represents a good opportunity for Fedora Project to spread Fedora and its word, apart from gathering new contributors.

Why Fedora Project should fund me?

I'm an active and passionate Fedora Ambassador, bringing Fedora and the idea behind the project to all sorts of people in my daily life. When the wiki says we're supposed to be the face of Fedora and take it to all the places of the world, that's describing what I passionately do. As Fedora Ambassador, I have, only in July, participated in three Release Parties, presenting a talk in each of them about F19 and the values of Fedora.

I'm also a Fedora Translator through the Wiki where I translate ambassador-related pages, through Zanata with Fedora Installation Guide and through Transifex translating Yum. I also belong to Freemedia team. I have funded about 50 DVDs so far that I have continuosly distributed among people I run into.

There's still room for improvements and I'm sure I can still do more for the project, but for now that's all I managed to handle.

What am I going to do at Latinoware?

According to Daniel Bruno, latinoware organization already put me in charge of Fedora booth (yes, we already have one) and granted me a talk in the event, which I will probably talk about why I so passionately use Fedora and incorporate Fedora foundations in my daily basis.
