I cannot reproduce this anymore with the current master. I assume that this issue is gone with the introduction of the synchronous sysdb interface. I'll close this as 'worksforme'. If you still see this issue with newer versions of sssd or if you think this should be fixed for the 1.2.x series, please reopen the bug and reassing it to me.
