#4090 [RFE] Add 'debug' option to pam_sss.so
Closed: wontfix 4 years ago by pbrezina. Opened 4 years ago by miztake.

Most pam modules output a debug log to syslog when the 'debug' option is specified.
If we can specify 'debug' option in pam_sss like other pam modules, it will be useful for troubleshooting.

e.g.) pam_unix.so, etc.
debug
Turns on debugging via syslog(3).

You need to check logs from pam responder sssd_pam in 99% of casses.
There is not a lot of processing pam_sss.so and therefore adding debug parameter to pam plugin would not be very helpful.

You should also check the option pam_verbosity in man sssd.conf
